Shadow Trails is a prehistoric novel depicting the lives of Paleolithic hunter-gatherers
as they travel down the Balcones Escarpment into the Texas Hill Country where warm, lush environmental conditions promised a life of protective shelters,
clear springs, sustainable meat, and nutritional healing plants.
We traveled their shadow trails, camping at state parks along the way as we explored archaeological sites that helped portray their lives.
